Amy hesitated for just a second before accepting Fin's offer and leaning towards him so that she was laying against his chest. It didn't feel any better than when she had been sitting up, but at least it eased the anxiety growing in her chest. Sam wasn't likely to come back today, not with Fin there, but what was going to happen tomorrow when she was alone again? Sam was right, fin couldn't protect her forever. If anything he still had his Victor duties that could keep him away for weeks when the games came. Who would protect her then? Shaking her head slightly to get rid of the thought, Amy finally focused on Fin and what he was trying to say. "Has that ever happened before? Going to a person instead of a place?"

He shook his head at her question, "No, never. I don't know why it happened, and why it worked so well. I'm incredibly relieved that I didn't end up hurt-" he stopped. It was just his luck, her getting hurt instead of him. He groaned, letting thoughts of karma and the universe plague his thoughts for a moment. "I should have been here sooner though. I don't know why I teleported at that moment, it's not like I wasn't thinking about you at other times this morning." his voice rose a little and he looked up at the ceiling.

"He heard something and left right before you came in. I'm not sure if that could have had anything to do with it, but that's what was happening here. I don't even remember how long..." Her voice trailed off as she tried to remember everything, but gave up. What did it really matter? It had happened and it was over with for now. "You came though, that's what counts. Thank you, Fin." Amy wanted to ask him why he had been thinking about her while training, or why he hadn't just gone for help like anyone else would have, but she didn't. If he wanted to tell her he would eventually and she didn't feel like pushing him away right now.

He nodded at her thanks, even though he was frowning at the idea that she didn't know how long they were in there before he came to help. "You're welcome. Now," he furrowed his eyebrows in thought, "we just have to figure out how that isn't going to happen again." Then the idea came, and he let out a small laugh.
He pulled back a little, enough to look at her face. "I need to teach you how to fight, Bryant. With your own two hands," he suggested.

"How about I just invest in finding a big stick. I can't fight Finley. And don't call me Bryant." She scowled, definitely not okay with the suggestion. How was she, of all people, supposed to do something like that? Violence wasn't something she condoned, other than when Finley was in the games. "Maybe I'll just try harder to not go in to power exhaustion or go hide under the house if I do. That sounds like a sensible plan." Something about the look on Fin's face told her she was wrong though, and that he was going to get his way no matter what.

Fin chuckled again as she scowled at him for calling her 'Bryant'. "Hiding under the house? Really?" he chuckled again and shook his head. "No, that's not happening. Why are you being such a pacifist. Come on, we'll call it... self defense class," he said, looking at her with one eyebrow raised and a determined look in his eye.

"I would say I would hide at your house, but then you'd have to leave for something and we'd be back to square one. Your sister probably wouldn't be very happy with it either." Grimacing, she laid her head against his shoulder and sighed in defeat. He was right, she needed to learn. Besides, it would give her an excuse to hang out with Fin on a regular basis. "If I agree with this, you can't tell my parents and especially not my dad. He wouldn't approve, he'd just say to tell the peace keepers and let them do their jobs or that if I would settle down then the boys would stop being stupid. He's a little old fashioned, I think." Well, a little was an understatement. He'd probably tell them that if fin was so worried he should man up and handle it himself, even if that was what he was trying to do. Maybe he would surprise them though.

The thought of her staying at his house made his stomach flip over. That wouldn't help anything because she couldn't stay there forever... Right? No, that thought was crazy. He thought about Angelas reaction to him having a girl over for a long period of time... Plus, the peacekeepers wouldn't allow it unless they were married or something. He actually choked on air a little at that thought. He cleared his throat, "sorry I'm just... Trying to figure out how that could work," he muttered.
As she continued, he nodded, "maybe you should just settle down," he said. He was trying to joke but his voice did not show that at all. "I mean, I won't tell your parents."

"With who? You just saw option number two, and unless your volunteering I think we can throw that suggestion out the window." Realizing what she was suggesting a moment or two too late, Amy sat up and stared at Fin in shock. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said that." Her body protested the movement, but she almost felt like it was worth it. If she thought she could've, she would have ran out of the building to get away from the embarrassment. Why would a guy like Finley want to be with her anyways? It just wasn't logical.

At her words Fins eyes widened. She sat up, staring at him in her own shock. They stared at each other for a moment before a slight smile crept in his face and he started to laugh. He clutched his stomach for a moment, bending over before standing up and offering a hand to her, "come on, let's get out of here before you hurt yourself."

Amy laughed with him for a while and then grabbed his hand as it was offered. At least he didn't seem upset. "I don't know how well you've thought this through, because there is no way I'm competent enough to climb down that ladder." As if on cue, the pain in her leg started up again and she held on to Fin's hand tighter, trying to keep from falling over. Had Sam kicked her at some point or banged her leg against something when he drug her up there? She couldn't remember, but whatever had happened it stood out worse than everything else. How she had stood on it earlier was a miracle if she had ever seen one.

She had a good point, and proved it by tightening her grip on his hand. He whipped around to face her, clasping both of her elbows. He moved her hands up around his neck, "okay, okay. Maybe we should stay here a bit longer," he said. "Give us more time to talk," he said, a slight mischievous smile forming on his face. "Come here," he allowed her to lean on him as he moved towards the back of the loft again. "Seems like we won't be able to start that training just yet."

Shuffling back over to their little hidey hole, Amy laughed at fin's observation as she lowered herself down and patted the space beside her. "And what do we still need to talk about, other than plotting our revenge against the barns? So far I think they can take us." A small giggle escaped her lips before she could cover her mouth to stifle the sound. That was all she needed was to start sounding like a giddy school girl. "Seriously though. What could we possibly talk about right now that we didn't say the other night?"

He sat beside her, careful to make sure she was steady and then keeping his hands to himself for now. He chuckled at her joke, not oblivious to that giggle that had escaped her lips. "Really, though. I'd say we burn them down but then the peacekeepers would be after us," he said. Then he gave a slight groan and leaned forward, "we could talk about how I missed a call from the capital today."

Amy arched an eyebrow at his choice of topic, though she was mildly concerned. Could he even do that? Why was he getting a call from the capital anyways? "How bad of a thing is that? Are you'd going to be in some sort of trouble now?" This couldnt be good, she knew that much. It was probably a victor thing though, and Fin would know how to handle it. If anything, maybe he could spin it that he was off playing hero for some defenseless healer? No, that wouldn't work. If anything he'd just be in more trouble than he could already have gotten himself in to.
