As the door opened, Fin tensed up, leaning back against the wall even more. He couldn't help but notice her hand gripping his shirt. She was terrified, and that was not an emotion he wanted her to be feeling. When he saw someones face above him, a familiar face, he could feel Amy start shaking. Fin acknowledged his own instincts flaring up, this must be the guy. He found himself kissing the top of Amys head, "I'll take care of this," he muttered. Fin maneuvered, slowly, to place Amy on the ground beside him so that he could stand.
"Sam, is it?" Fin asked, standing up straight and folding his arms across his chest, revealing his muscular arms.

Watching the two men stare each other down, Amy attempted to lift herself in to a sitting position so that she could see them better. Fin could handle himself and she had no doubt about that, but she didn't want him doing something he would regret later. "So what if I am? What're you going to do about it tough guy? It's not like the bitch is worth it anyways. Someone had to tech her a lesson, put her back in her place." The sneer in his voice, the way he looked at her...what had she done for him to hate her so much? All she had done was defend herself, and that was only once.

Tough Guy? Bitch?" Fin cricked his neck to the side, as if he was bored with Sams little speech. In reality, he was picturing the best ways to take this guy down. As much as Fin hated to admit it, he was a trained killer. He had trained himself for the games, he wasn't new to this. He had killed nine people already, what was one more?
No, no he couldn't kill this guy. There was already to much death in this world. But he could break every bone in his body. Though, he wouldn't do that in front of Amy. At least... he hoped he wouldn't.
His anger was strong now, but he didn't show it on his face. Not yet. He took a few steps forward, "Listen, Sam. You can either agree to leave now and never bother her again or you can try to get through me, which won't work out well for you." Keep calm, keep him confident, don't pounce.

The way Fin was standing and the tone of his voice made Amy scared for the first time, not necessarily of him but for SAMs well being. The guy deserved whatever he got and worse, but not at fin's hand. Briefly, she attempted to stand, but soon figured out that wasn't happening. Something was wrong with her leg, but she didn't know what exactly. Almost as soon as she gave up trying, Sam crossed the remaining two feet to stand toe to toe with Fin.
"And what if I dont? You think I'm scared of you because you got lucky in a game? The girl is going to get what she deserves sooner or later. You can't protect her forever." Amy almost screamed as she realized he was right, but managed to keep her mouth shut as she tried to stand again. Sam just didn't know when to stop, and even Fin had to have his limits.

Sam had the nerve to get closer to Fin, in his face even. Then he brought up the games, his 'lack of fear' and spoke ill of Amy. Fins hand suddenly swept up, clasping Sam around the throat, "I said it wouldn't end well for you," he growled, pushing Sam backward and sideways until Sams back slammed into the barn wall. "You come near her again, I swear it'll be the last thing yo-" he stopped.
It was his first kill, the boy from district one. The other careers had fallen asleep and Fin had taken the watch with this guy. Fin knew that his time with the careers would be over soon, which meant this was his last chance to kill a few of them. He hesitated at first before turning to his companion. "Derek hey..." Fin said softly. As Derek turned to face him, Fin punch him squarely in the face, knocking him out before climbing on top of him and wrapping both hands around his neck...
His grip on Sam tightened.

Sam was slammed against the wall as Amy began to stand again, as she recognized the now familiar look on Fin's face. He was having a flashback, and he wasn't coming out of it any time soon. Finally managing to push herself to her feet, Amy quickly found her way to Fin's side and placed her hand on his arm. She didn't try to pull him off of Sam in case it caused a negative reaction, but she did start whispering to him as Sam's face started to turn an alarming shade of blue. "fin, let him go. He isn't worth this. Just let go, it's okay." While she spoke, her other hand made its way towards his side and she leaned against him, her head resting against his shoulder as she waited for him to react. Part of her realized that she might have recharged enough to give him a small jolt, but she hoped she wouldn't have to.

Suddenly there was a hand on his arm. Fin, miraculously, didn't push it away or send Amy flying across the room. "Fin, let him go. He isn't worth this. Just let go, it's okay," a familiar voice was slipping into his mind. He had heard that voice before, even in moments like this. Was she actually there now or was he back in the games, choking the competition? Her hand was on his head now and she was leaning into him. She was there, physically beside him. His free hand, the one not choking Sam, moved slowly until he was touching her hand on his arm.
After a few moments, it felt like a really long time, he released his grip on Sam and took a step back. "Now you know I wasn't just lucky," Fin said, moving to take Amy's hand, "get out." He was looking at Sam as he said this, trying to act as tough as ever even though he was about ready to crumple into tears.

Amy held on to Fin's hand tight as Sam scrambled away, not turning back to him until she heard the door slam. Whenever she was sure Sam was gone, she turned to where she was facing him fully and looked in to his eyes before wrapping her free arm around his waist. "Are you okay?" The question seemed stupid. Of course he wasn't okay, he had almost killed Sam. Still, she wasn't scared of him as she stepped closer and tightened her hold on him. This was all her fault, and the regret was eating at her already.

He watched Sam go, just as frozen as Amy was until he was gone and she was standing in front of him, wrapping him into some sort of hug. He looked down at her, "I'm-" he stopped, his body rigid. There was no way he would let tears fall in front of this girl.
Okay, maybe there was.
As his eyes started to get misty, he wrapped his arms over her shoulders and pulled her close to him in a hug, trying to mask the fact that he was losing it a little bit. Here he was losing his mind when she was in actual physical pain. Could he be any more of a jerk right now?

Fin was about to cry and Amy's heart was breaking while his eyes watered. Without. A word, she stepped out of his embrace with his hand in hers, guiding him towards a stack of hay bales and sitting down. Tugging on his hand, she waited for him to join her before wrapping her arms back around him in a tight hug. "Hey, it's okay. Go ahead." Fin was a tough guy, and she doubted he was going to cry in front of her if he didn't think it was alright. Her injuries were forgotten as she focused on Fin, relieved for the distraction but still wishing it wasn't at Fin' s expense.

He let her lead him to the hay bales to sit down, he sat when she tugged and leaned into her as she hugged him again. She said to go ahead, but he didn't. He bit his lip, willed the tears to go away, and leaned back again in order to look at her. He found himself chuckling, "seems we can't just have a normal moment together, huh?"

"Normal is over rated anyways." Amy teased with a small smile, leaning away from him slightly now that he seemed to be a little better. She still had the feeling that something was wrong, but she didn't want to push him on it. "We really do need to stop meeting in barns though. Someone always ends up hurt." Seriously, the score stood at barn: 2, Amy and Fin: 0. One of them was going to end up dead if the streak kept it up. Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind that made her frown slightly as she looked at Fin. "Not that I'm complaining in the least bit, but how did you find me? Last time I checked I was the only person scheduled to work this barn today."

He couldn't help but give a small chuckle as she said that normal was overrated. He would give anything for normal, most victors would. Speaking of... he had missed a call from his district supervisor earlier today. The person who called when someone paid to hang out with him. He pushed that thought aside."But... our entire district is barns," he said, his eyes widening in mock horror. Then she asked how he had found her, and he found himself squinting a little. "Erh-that's the hard part to explain," he shifted a little, placing his hands back on his lap. "I teleported here. From across town."

"Across town?" She asked, looking at him questioningly. That just didn't aound right. "I thought you worked with line of sight or something like that. How is that even possible?" Leaning back against a hay bale beside her, Amy tried to get comfortable but failed when the movement pulled on the wrong part of her aching body. She tried to suppress a wince, but failed. This was going to be an interesting few days.

"It is line of site. I've tried it before where I pictured something in my head and tried to get there like that... that's how I ended up with a pitchfork in me, yeah?" he explained. "I was thinking of-" he stopped for a moment as she winced. "Hey, you okay? Come here," he said, holding his arms out to her. "Anyway, I was thinking of you and I was suddenly outside the door," he added, concern now in his tone as well as confusion.
