The walk from the Wyatt house wasn't long, but it was long enough for Melanie to be freezing cold from the lowered temperature. Even her jacket and heavy winter clothes hadn't managed to keep her warm and made her wish that she had stolen Braxton's jacket on the way out the door. Someone was home before her though and had had the forethought to start the fireplace, which is where she found herself after shedding a few of her layers.
It was ten minutes later that a door down the hall finally opened, but she was almost asleep when it did. The couch was decently comfortable and the fire was hot enough that she was almost sweating. "Aim? Alex? Whose home?" Melanie called in to the darkness, hoping it was one of her brothers instead of a parent who would ask her questions she didn't want to answer. In all honesty, she hoped it was her twin. Lately they hadn't been spending much time together, and she missed him sorely. Aimery was her better half, after all.

Aimery had been upstairs in his room reading some books. It had been cold outside and he wasn't one to really go out and do stuff, so he decided it was convenient to just stay inside for that matter. He was dressed in a simple collared white shirt and gray sweatpants. He wouldn't have put his book down, but he heard noise coming down from the entrance of the house. That could only mean that someone was home. He usually wasn't a people person, but he was with his siblings.
So he went down the stairs, but by the time he made it down in the entrance, no one was there. He figured the next possible destination was in the living room. He walked toward it and opened the door. There, he saw his twin sister lying on the couch in front of the hearth. She called out to him, wanting to know who was there. Aim smirked slightly--she was probably exhausted after visiting that boyfriend that she was utterly bewitched with. "You know, I was tempted to just keep silent until you actually put in the small effort to look up and see for yourself who I was, Mel."

"Nah. If I started doing thing like that you would just go invisible to mess with me. Don't lie and say you wouldn't." Melanie teased, lifting her head so she could smile at her twin. she gestured towards one end of the couch before curling her legs up so that Aimery could sit down comfortably, though she had every intention of putting them back once he sat down. What were her brothers good for if they couldn't be warm foot rests? "besides, I'm cold which means I need to conserve strength. It's like the entire district has frozen over. Maybe I should've made Brax walk me home." Especially since her parents didn't seem to have graced them with their presence yet. If they hadn't, then it was likely they were either staying at work or wouldn't be home until late.
