PERSONALITY ► Cocky, brash, fearless. Everything that makes a good bully, and an even better stalker. Sam is also obsessive whenever he sets his mind towards a goal. It doesn't. After if it will take an hour or a decade, he'll do whatever is necessary to get what he wants.

When he is getting his way or if he somehow manages to get it in his head that it will help, Sam can be a half decent guy. Most of his classmates saw past the good guy facade ages ago, but the adults tend to think he's pretty awesome. Just make sure to stay off his bad side,and you should be just fine. Actually, it's probably better if he doesn't notice you at all on the off chance he decides you or what you have is what he wants next.

POWER DESCRIPTION ► Night vision allows Sam to see in complete and utter darkness. His vision during the day is average, but becomes much better the darker the room is. Very bright light can bring him some discomfort, but that's the only draw back to his power that Sam has found so far. He generally uses it to stalk people and spy on theme like the creep he is. Since he doesn't have to have a light source, he can be more stealthy and doesn't feel the need to get as close to his target. Flashlights annoy him because people tend to point them in his eyes, making them more sensitive and dulling his power for a few minutes. It's one of the better defenses against him.

HISTORY ►
What Sam knows:

Braydon Samuel Monson was born on a hot night in May to a mother who resented him and a father who wanted to give him the world. Amanda rarely played with her young son and chose to spend much of her time working instead, tending to the cattle embryos in storage. His father on the other hand doted on the boy as much as his circumstances allowed. Sam was the prince of everything and could do no wrong. But he did.

By the time he reached school age, Sam had perfected his technique: suck up to the adults and prove that your a good kid, and then terrorize everyone else behind their backs. His favorite target fell on his radar when he was fourteen years old. @amaryllis was pretty, smart, and sweet. Everything a guy could want rolled in to one tiny package. Her only issue? That she told him no. Something about some stupid rule where she wouldn't date until after the games. What an idiot.

After a few weeks of following her around town and to school, Sam made his move. Attacking her in an alley, he had intended to rough her up enough to make her forget what had happened so that he could play hero. Unfortunately for him, the latent part of Amaryllis' powers chose that moment to manifest, leaving him an embarrassed and resentful heap on the ground. When he finally came back to his senses, Sam decided that if he couldn't have her, no one else would.

It would take four more years for Sam to find the perfect opportunity to do the deed, but by that time anger had turned in to obsession. She would be his even if he had to take her, a mindset only exasperated when he caught her coming out of @finley 's home in the victor's village. Three days later his chance finally came as he found a power exhausted Amaryllis alone in one of the barns. In the middle of severely beating her, Finley turned up and caused Sam to flee the scene temporarily. When he decided to return to the scene, Finley met him in a violent confrontation which could have cost Sam his life if Amaryllis hadn't intervened.

Now Sam's focus has shifted from dear, sweet Amy to the victor who chose to stand in his way. He will make Finley pay for stepping in, whether it means hurting Amy or any of his other loved ones. Maybe that beautiful older sister of his deserves a visit too.

What Sam doesn't know:

Amanda is not his mother. Biologically, his mother is a peacekeeper from district 2 who his father had an affair with after finding out Amanda was barren. The tryst resulted in twin boys, one which she left with John in secret. Sam has no idea that he has a brother or why the mother who raised him hates him so much. Maybe some day he'll find out....
