Alright, so stealing a mining cart might have gotten someone in to trouble, but at least it wouldn't be him. Shane hadn't actually taken the thing, he was just the one intending to ride it down the hill as soon as he woke up that morning. Lining up the cart and adjusting his jacket, Shane waved to the crowd of school kids that had somehow shown up to watch his latest stunt before jumping in the cart and waiting for the all clear from the guys. After all, if it didn't involve fire he didn't want to chance someone getting hurt. He was reckless, not mean.

Despite the fact that Quinn loves to learn, there are times when even she has no interest in homework. One screaming match later she found herself hugging a parka close to her body and standing with a group of her classmates, staring up the hill that lead back from the mining district. The boy at the top of the hill was older than she was, maybe by one year or so, and it seemed he was planning on riding a cart down the hill.
Shaking her head, Quinn squinted her eyes to focus herself more on him and found that he was dumber than she thought. His power wouldn't help him in any way. The only thing flames would be good for in this situation was effect. She bit her lip and looked around the group, not recognizing anyone she started to walk across the street, hoping he would see her and not go just yet.

One of his boys gave shane the all clear and then Shane was off, racing down the hill. The cart didnt go far before someone broke away from the crowd and tried to cross the street. A jolt of panic surged through him as he realized he had to turn the cart or hit the girl, instantly killing his buzz. Shifting all of his weight back and forth a few times, Shane managed to tip it over on to its side just in time, missing the Mystery girl by inches as he and the cart skidded sideways on the gravel for a few feet before coming to a stop.
