welcome to revenge is sweeter

Shortly after the emergence of Super Heroes in to modern society, tragedy struck. A mass extinction event brought on by nuclear warfare, which even the Supers were unable to prevent, caused the loss of all non-supers and left the world in chaos. The remaining world leaders band together to create the country of Panem. Under their guidance, the Districts were created with the center of the new world being the Capital. However, some citizens were not happy with the current living conditions. They were Heroes, after all.

Thirty one years ago, the districts rebelled against their saviors. The Capital did not take kindly to this uprising. Thirteen districts entered, and only twelve returned. As punishment for their disgrace, the Capital began the Hunger Games: a competition pitting the children of each district against each other in order to gain fame, riches, and most importantly, the right to live. Every year, twenty four young men and women enter the arenas, and only one will survive.

With the first Quarter Quell still fresh in their minds, the Citizens of Panem have no wish to revolt, and any talk of it is unheard of. Even the strong simply wish to survive another year. Though traditional heroes no longer exist, the superpowers are still prevalent in society, making the games ever changing and more intense each year. The Thirty-First annual Hunger Games is about to begin.

THE WEATHER FORECAST | the southern district are having a rather cool fall with a few rainy days and gusty winds from the north causing a chill to the wind that is rather irregular. the northern districts are experiencing a cooler fall than usual as well, having a few early snow showers and prospects for a harsh winter.

Many years ago David Rockefellar and Angela Mercer met as two fourteen year olds with a crush. They dated rather exclusively, even though it was a silly thing to do before the age of eighteen. The reaping could easily rip them apart, but they didn't care. As the years went on they got more romantic and more foolish, meeting in secret often. The year they turned seventeen, Angela became pregnant a few weeks before the reaping. She didn't know what was going on at first and when the reaping that year took David away, she had no idea what she was really losing.

She thought the morning sickness and the gaining weight were coming from her worry for him, and didn't look into it for some time. About five months into the pregnancy, she realized what could have been going on. She had been taking care of pregnant animals her entire life, why didn't she see it before? She didn't tell anyone what was going on and just kept gaining weight, just trying to make her stomach size look like something that came with the rest. She wore baggy clothes, did her work and tried not to be sick. When it was finally time for the baby to come, the seventeen year old delivered him herself in a barn.

Now she had no choice but to tell her mother. She did, and the woman said she would claim the baby as her own in front of the peacekeepers. They didn't know the penalty for teen pregnancy, but it probably wasn't good. Fin was raised there with his mother and grandmother, until his grandmother died when he turned ten. The rest of his life was lived under only his mothers care. She was always honest with him about how his father died, and even how she had to keep him a secret and how everyone in the district thought they were siblings.

This is the younger brother of Nicholas Dunbar and Malias ex fiance.

From Malias history: Four years ago, at the age of twenty, Malia met a fine fisherman and charming man. It would be a good marriage, a sensible one-that's what her parents told her.

She and him got engaged two years later, and at the age of twenty two Malia was meant to be a bride in just a few months. However, the engagement was broken off when Malia found evidence of her fiance sleeping with another woman-a woman who was in fact his own brothers romantic interest. Disgusted at their behavior and horrified by this experience, Malia broke it off and has been still living with her parents and brother ever since.

-His reasoning for doing this is entirely up to you, as is his personality and his own history in reference to this and Nicholas. He can be a total jerk if you want, or maybe just got engaged to the girl he wasn't in love with and lost his cool. Whatever the reason, that's your choice!

This is Malias little brother. I didn't do much history for him in order to keep him wide open for whatever you want! So, just take it away and let me know if you have any ideas!

From Malias history:
Her family lives in district four and are your general fisherman family. Being in one of the more well off districts, Malia hasn't had to take any tessarea to feed her family and her father works very hard.

They would be considered the middle class of their district, with a decent sized home and well trained fishing skills. They do their daily work, and when reaping day comes all she has to worry about now is her little brother.
