PERSONALITY ► Fin gives a rough first impression. He comes across as cold and uncaring when really he's just shy and wary. He is ambitious though, which is the main reason that he tries to overcome this first impression and be personable, though he struggles with it. He is slow moving when it comes to making friends, but once you get there he will do anything for you.

Once past the rough exterior, you will find a reckless and extremely passionate individual. Fin stands by the things he cares about and the people he loves. Though few, his friends are incredibly important in his life, as well as his family.

When it comes to romance, Fin is quite inexperienced. He would, however, be the type to become attached very quickly once he became interested in someone. He would take it slow physically and verbally, but mentally he would be considering the future of the relationship' really on. This is how fin is with most things-envisioning the future.

POWER NAME ► TELEPORTATION
POWER DESCRIPTION ► Fin is able to teleport from one location to another without using the space in between to get there. He uses the power when he's in a hurry to get somewhere, but he doesn't use it often in the animal maintenance of district ten. He can only teleport to somewhere he can see, so if he is in an area full of trees he may not be able to see and therefore teleport as far as a wide open space. He cannot teleport under water. Too much teleportation can cause him to become dizzy, losing his ability to use motor skills well and throw off his balance. Occasionally, Fin can picture a place he's been before in his mind and teleport there. This has only worked once so far. The first time he tried he ended up teleporting into a pitchfork, causing it to go right through him. This part of his power is sporadic and dangerous, and best not to try at all.

HISTORY ► Many years ago David Rockefellar and Angela Mercer met as two fourteen year olds with a crush. They dated rather exclusively, even though it was a silly thing to do before the age of eighteen. The reaping could easily rip them apart, but they didn't care. As the years went on they got more romantic and more foolish, meeting in secret often. The year they turned seventeen, Angela became pregnant a few weeks before the reaping. She didn't know what was going on at first and when the reaping that year took David away, she had no idea what she was really losing.

She thought the morning sickness and the gaining weight were coming from her worry for him, and didn't look into it for some time. About five months into the pregnancy, she realized what could have been going on. She had been taking care of pregnant animals her entire life, why didn't she see it before? She didn't tell anyone what was going on and just kept gaining weight, just trying to make her stomach size look like something that came with the rest. She wore baggy clothes, did her work and tried not to be sick. When it was finally time for the baby to come, the seventeen year old delivered him herself in a barn.

Now she had no choice but to tell her mother. She did, and the woman said she would claim the baby as her own in front of the peacekeepers. They didn't know the penalty for teen pregnancy, but it probably wasn't good. Fin was raised there with his mother and grandmother, until his grandmother died when he turned ten. The rest of his life was lived under only his mothers care. She was always honest with him about how his father died, and even how she had to keep him a secret and how everyone in the district thought they were siblings.

As the reapings came and went, Fin found himself almost wanting to compete, in the name of his father. His father had died in these games before he was even able to meet him. His father deserved to be avenged and what better way than to win the games himself? He trained in secret, practicing with the farming tools and training his body for strength. He also trained himself in his teleportation, learning it's limits and practicing going farther and farther. He discovered the ability at a young age, when he was suddenly right beside a toy that he wanted to play with. Now, he was well seasoned and practiced. He was going to compete in those games. His mother didn't know what he was planning, or how much he was obsessing over it. When he turned seventeen, the age his father was, Fin volunteered.

Playing in the 28th annual Hunger Games, Fin surprised himself at his ability against the career tributes. They teamed up at the beginning, and he even joined them for a while. He used his strength, his wits and his determination to avenge his father to get closer and closer to winning. He even killed people, but he had to look away whenever he did. His games were in a frozen tundra type landscape, and quite a few people froze to death. On the final day of the games, Fin and two others-a girl from district six and a boy from district two, were left. Fin hunted the girl first, teleporting beside her suddenly and using a frozen ice pick to kill her. He cried as he did, almost not noticing the boy coming up behind him. After a long struggle, Fin came out on top, covered in snow and blood.

After he had won the games, Fins determine disposition changed to that of a melancholy nature. During the game he was known as the 'strong silent type', now he was just silent. For years he has been caring for his mother, promising not to do anything dangerous again... but a part of him misses the adrenaline of running for your life, and another part of him misses the drive to avenge his father. He doesn't feel satisfied... so now what?
