What he said? What had he said? Oh, OH. His eyes widened as he recalled confessing that he had dreamt of her before. He shook his head, sitting up as she stood, his eyes pleading. She took a few steps away as he spoke, "hey, hey. Don't," he blurted out, maybe a little too loudly for a house with another person sleeping in it. In fact...
Angela heard him smashing into the dresser and just at that moment burst into the room. He was grateful that she hadn't come in whilst Fin and Amy were pancacked together. "Finley, are you okay? What was that noise?" she asked, standing in the doorway.
Fin gave her a little wave, "I'm fine. I just sneezed and teleported into the dresser. Accident. I'm fine," his eyes were pleading with her now, pleading with her to leave. She shook her head, "be careful, okay? Amy, a word?" Angela asked, gesturing for Amy to step into the hall with her for a moment.

Nodding, Amy left the room with only a comforting glance towards Fin. She wanted to go back to him, lay on the bed and make him feel better, but now she had been called away by his older sister. "Yes ma'am?" She enquired as they reached the hallway, nervousness creeping up on her. Why had Angela chosen mow or all times to show up? "I apologize for the racket. Fin had an issue with his powers." Fidgeting with her hands, Amy looked away from the older wo,am before glancing towards the closed door they had just come through.

Fin was slightly panicking, but he stayed put sitting up on the bed as the two women went out into the hall to talk. It gave him time to consider what an idiot he was being. Flirting with her with that moment of mock intimidation, using it to get her close. Confessing that he had dreamt about her. Saying he needed her. This wasn't how normal people acted, and wasn't how he should act. Still... he didn't want her to leave.
"Oh, don't worry about the powers. That's been happening lately," she said slowly, "he stopped practicing after the games... that wasn't smart. Anyway, how is he doing?" he worry showed clearly on her face, and she didn't even notice the possibility of making Amy uncomfortable. Her baby was sick, and she couldn't do anything. "I hope he hasn't been too much of a pain. Whenever I try to take care of him, we always end up in a spat," she said, laughing slightly. "He thinks he's so tough. Don't let him fool you."

Amy smiled at Angela, though her worry was a little over the top for a sibling. Who was Amy to judge though? "He's fine. Up until he dresser incident he was showing signs of improvement, now he just has a few more bumps and bruises. The fever is going down and the coughing is more sporadic. His fits are a little more rough right now, but that will pass soon. It's just another phase of the medicine." amy brushed a stray piece of hair out of her face, listening to a coughing fit from the other room. The urge to walk back in there and leave Angela standing in the hallway was strong, but she didn't. "He needs more help than he lets on, I've kinda figured that out already. Don't worry ms. Rockefellar. I'll take care of him. I promise."

Angela nodded as Amy explained how he was doing, biting her lip a little with worry. When Fin coughed again, Angela became hurried. She sighed, "Thank you. If you need me just come and get me..." she nodded before moving to open the door behind Amy and looking to Fin, who was still sitting on the edge of the bed, "goodnight, Fin." And then she was leaving.
Fin sighed, leaning forward a little and shaking his head. His head, throat and now most of his body hurt so badly he almost ran to Amy right then. But he didn't. He held his ground. "You're back," he said, as if that wasn't obvious.

Flashing Fin a small smile, she walked back in to the room and sat down beside him, letting her arm touch his instead of reaching for his hand right off. Amy's power still worked that way, with any skin to skin contact. Right now she wasn't sure what to do or what he wanted. He had asked her to stay, again, but she hadn't listened. "Where else would I go?" Her voice was quiet, but not quite a whisper as she looked over at him. That dresser had really done a number on him it looked like. He was going to be miserable in the morning when she had to leave. "your sister is very...concerned. Hopefully you won't be contagious again soon so that she can have some piece of mine."

He kept his eyes on her as she moved towards him. As she sat beside him, their arms touching, he leaned a little bit into her. Still looking at her when she looked at him, he smiled back. "I'm sure you have better things to do," he said, then laughed a little at his sisters worry. "Yeah, she get's really worried over practically nothing sometimes," he said. He thought back to the moment before he had sneezed himself across the room. All the progress they had made, how they were sitting together... it was going to take a lot of work to get back to that place again.
Or he could just say something stupid.
"Well, guess we'd better get some sleep," he started, finally reaching his hand over to take hers and moving further up the bed toward the pillows, trying to pull her with him, "come on," he said, softly, almost a whisper.

Shaking her head, Amy followed fin on to the bed but laid on top of the blankets instead of underneath them. Her clothing was warm and the added layers would be stifling. With her head on the pillow across from him, she finally noticed how exhausted she was from the long days and nights spent caring for patients. Reaching across the bed for his hand, she clasped it firmly with hers. "Good night fin. Get some rest."
