PERSONALITY ► Amy is a very happy and nurturing young woman. She always sees the good in people and tries to help them whenever she can. The games annoy her due to all of the death and destruction they cause, but she doesn’t blame the tributes or even the victors. If anything, the victors are the biggest victims in her eyes.
Her favorite pastimes include helping in the fields and going to school, where she is an avid learner. The only thing that Amaryllis can’t stand sometimes about farm life is the small spaces that she ends up crammed in. Ever since she was a small child, she’s been claustrophobic. Keep her in the wide open with the animals and the fresh air, and Amy will be the happiest girl you’ve ever seen.

POWER DESCRIPTION ► The power to manipulate pain in others is one that Amy does not take lightly. For the longest time she thought that she could only take away pain due to her calm nature, though she did eventually figure it out. If she is severely irritated, she can make an existing injury hurt worse than it should, almost tripling the pain felt. Most of the time though she chooses to use it for the good of her friends and others, simply by reaching out and touching their hand. Her powers are not touch activated, though she can only use them if she has physical contact with the person in question. Extended use can cause her powers to become less effective, and eventually will cause her to pass out. Causing pain tends to exasperate these negative issues by making her go in to power exhaustion earlier.

History > It was a quiet and calm night when Amaryllis was born. Her parents praised her as a miracle after years of trying for a child and failing. The love and nurturing in her home left Amaryllis a well adjusted and caring individual. Even as a young child she felt a calling to help people, eventually befriending the local healer.

At the tender age of ten, amaryllis discovered her gift after finding a young @finley injured during a training session. A friend she had been playing with ran to find his mother, Amaryllis sat with him and held his hand. After a few long minutes, it became obvious that despite the relatively serious wound, Finley wasn't feeling any pain. She literally had willed it away, up until the adults came and forced her to leave.

Since then, amaryllis has finished her schooling and has taken up an apprenticeship with the healer. She hasn't seen Finley since then, other than from a distance when he was doing his victor's duties. Someday she hopes to take over as the healer and continue helping the people in her district the best way she knows how.
