NICK NAMES ► rosa, lindy, rosie AGE ► 19 DATE OF BIRTH ► october 23 HEIGHT ► 5 ' 05 '' WEIGHT ► 112 lbs DISTRICT ► seven SEXUALITY ► straight FACE CLAIM ► rosalind autumn norwood ALIAS ► noelle
PERSONALITY ► Rosalind's a pretty sweet girl, and sometimes she can be a bit of a pushover. She used to relent to the extreme to the will of others, for she mistook that for being true and kind. Now, though, she's learned to toughen up and go by what she wants as long as it's reasonable and what people demand is not too much for her to give. But, again, she's still someone who would try to please others instead of doing what she wants first because of old habits, which of course is not a good thing. She tries not to let it go too far, though.
Sometimes she can be a bit rebellious and willing to break the rules when she feels the urge to. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but once you get to know her she becomes more spunky and sarcastic. She's learned to be wary of people who appear to be unreasonably charming and kind, for most likely they'll end up having a darker side than is desirable. She's fallen for that and suffered, so while she's still nice, she's cautious of that and willing to be harsh about it.
POWER NAME ► sonic scream POWER DESCRIPTION ► rosalind's sonic scream basically means that, if she wants, she can generate sounds from her mouth at a very high pitch that is irregular to normal human sounds. She just needs to scream and then the sound will be so loud you have to cover your ears and even then you'd still feel like they're being blasted through. it probably can't cause anyone to be deaf, but at least it would stun the person she's trying to harm and would cause a huge distraction because of the discomfort to the ears. it's extremely piercing and really, really loud, a little worse than blasting music at an exceedingly loud volume. Unfortunately, if she abuses that power too much she might lose her voice, so she's able to do it five times in a day.
GABRIEL BENJAMIN NORWOOD ► This is Rosalind's father. She loved him dearly and the two were very close. Unfortunately, he died when she was fifteen, but she still cherishes his memory. Though, she does regret that he enforced the idea of being utterly open and selfless, which resulted in her suffering. She doesn't completely blame him for it, though. AUTUMN MARIE NORWOOD ► This is Rosalind's mother, who was an extremely brave woman in personality. She died when Rosalind was eight years-old, and before she did she made Rosalind promise her to be able to endure hardships no matter what, which translated into letting people walk over her. Rosa kind of resents her for that last promise, as it had a negative effect on her life. But because her mother's dead, she's cut her some slack. TERESA MELODY NORWOOD ► Teresa is Rosalind's stepmother, who she used to get along with but is now estranged with. She moved out of the Norwood house as soon as she was able to so she wouldn't have to put up with Teresa. JACK IAN FORESTER ► Jack is Rosalind's step-brother, the son of Teresa from her first marriage. Oddly, Rosalind used to be in love with him, and he with her, but she was too much of an innocent pushover for them to be in a relationship. Therefore, he ended their love affair and not knowing how to be her friend again, he distanced himself from her. She took this as cruelty and doesn't really speak to him again.
HISTORY ► Rosalind was born to two happy citizens of District Seven who never had to face the evils of the reaping. Her father, Gabriel Norwood, was a lumberjack and her mother, Autumn Norwood, was a paper-maker. She was happy with her family, but when Rosa was eight, her mother died. Her mother made her promise to be always kind and submissive to people--that's what she viewed as being strong-willed on the inside, and Rosa thought so too, so she agreed. When Rosa was ten, her father remarried to another paper-maker named Teresa Forester, who's husband died as well and left her with a son,Jack Forester, who was only a year older than Rosa.
Rosa and Jack became best friends, and then eventually lovers when they got older in their teen years. Though, when her father died when she was fifteen, her step-mother began to treat her worse. Teresa was not a horrid woman, but the stress of losing a husband was taking its toll on her and she was taking it out on Rosa. Also, Rosa had been way too innocent to be in a proper relationship, which caused Jack to be alienated from her. Rosa felt betrayed by these two people who she had left in her life, and by the time she was eighteen she moved out on her own and cases to talk to them. She really likes to sing, and today she's a lumberjack as her father was one and she enjoys it. Doesn't matter if she's a woman. Her best friend and crush is currently Connor Steele, who she's grown closer to ever since her estrangement from Jack and Teresa.
